and then the tree comes flying through followed with a wailing Daniel hanging on the onto the end of the trunk for dear life, Jack hanging on to him and Sam hanging on to Jack prattling on about the aerodynamic effect on the wormhole of the tree needles.
The tree doesn't stop moving when it enters the gateroom gets as far as hitting the glass of the control room (Walter is hiding under the desk) where it stops with a slam. Thankfully the glass holds.
SG1 all end up on the floor in a heap of tree branches and needles. George rushes out to see if they are okay. Jack looks up weakly, 'Merry Christmas Sir,' he says.
Sadly my ineptitude at drawing 3 dimensional pictures that well prevents me from rendering thus. Plus I was half asleep and doodling when I drew it, so I suppose I wasn't trying that hard :P
So what type of lights do you suppose Jack would put on his big tree? Slow glo, the kind that can't last more than a few seconds before petering out? Chasing, the kind that are more concerned about speed than longevity? Sequential, that don't quite know what they're doing so they're just playing it by ear? Twinkling, lightning fast, only interested in attracting attention? Steady, boring with no rhythm at all? Or my personal fave, slow fade? That start out pretty good then just slowly lose their punch?
