I don't care what Mallozzi says, it's so obvious that they brought Amanda over to get the SG-1 viewers. Which didn't work anyway, because the ratings for season 4 have been pretty shit compared to previous seasons. And he can make all the excuses he wants about Tivo and downloading, but the numbers speak for themselves, especially when you compare Torri's eps with the others.

Both Amanda and Torri were under contract, but it was obviously cheaper to break Torri's as I don't see her getting paid as much as Amanda because she hadn't been there that long. Add that to what Torri said in the interview and it explains a lot.
