"Daleks Are Not Pets Of The Doctor!"

Sun, 16 Aug 2026 11:37:04 GMT

The Doc spends her time in prison contemplating her apparent badass self before Jack shows up to bust her out as he still has designs on Graham. She takes him to Earth and reunites with her fam, only to discover there are some counterfeit daleks on the loose, because who are we making society secure for? After kidnapping Mr Big, he sells the Doc out, but she plays a little tardis swap swap, and sends all the daleks away. However, we are always changing and always the same, and our boys are ready to head off on their own adventures to protect Earth, and conquer all modes to two-wheeled transportation.

"How Does It Feel To See The Wind"

Fri, 14 Aug 2026 12:53:19 GMT

Jack get poked full of holes as he is want to do, so Sam leads a sleeveless Teal'c, and clueless Daniel through the gate to find some shiny rocks, and maybe some missing SG members. After their nap, they meet ~~Omaha~~ ~~Lakota~~ Salish ~~Wind In His Hair~~ Tonané, who introduces them to the spirits who follow them all back through the gate and uncover the nefarious plan to steal their shit and repeat history with all the subtleness of an arrow to the... *ahem*. The spirits start disappearing folks before Daniel makes a deal and Jack befriends all. We're left with a smack on the hand, and no damn Ke...

I Am A Keen Vagitarianist... Wait.

Fri, 14 Aug 2026 08:46:24 GMT

For thefridayfive

1. What is your favourite vegetable?
I am partial to a crunch - Corn, capsicum, broccoli, beetroot (which is a condition of a decent burger here), onions, can you tell I haven't had dinner yet?

2. What is your least favourite (or most disliked) vegetable?
Eggplant and zucchini - ~~the moist factor?~~, only because I am not very good a preparing them and it takes more effort to make them palatable.

3. How many half cup (one deciliter) servings of vegetables do you eat on a typical day?
Deci-wtf? 4-5 servings, and mostly sticking to seasonal variety.

4. What is your favourite fruit?
Oh, mangoes! *chef's kiss*

5. What is your least favourite (or most disliked) fruit?
I'm not a big melon person, rockmelon (cantaloupe), honey dew and the like, weird taste. Watermelon however is a class of its own - I just wish it still tasted like it did when we were kids.

Icon Tutorial - Screencaps, Textures & Filters

Sun, 09 Aug 2026 03:13:10 GMT

Of recent, I have attempted to become involved more so in the icon community side of things on Dreamwidth. I used to do LIMS back in the day within the SG fandom, and have since been invited to participate in more contest comms (I am not big on contests for multiple reasons, but I am trying to connect here). I have seen some other tutorials floating around with ways in which to 'lighten' screencaps using textures and blend modes and such, and since I work with photo editing (very very different, but same skill sets) in the big bad, I though I would share some tips on how to have more control over how you can edit your screencaps. I have also thrown in some tricks I use for my batches to make them look more uniform and matchy-matchy. /technical speak.

"You Can Be A Pacifist Tomorrow"

Sun, 26 Jul 2026 10:27:13 GMT

The Master and The Doctor head home to Gallifrey where the former has destroyed all life and just wants to brag. There he traps her in some hoola hoops and makes her watch a bunch of old home videos of her life... er, lives because she is the blueprint for all Time Lords, and is probably responsible for the extra heart, aye? Everything is a big fat whopper of a lie, and the Doc has a whole slew of other lives she doesn't remember so she gets down for a bit, but The Doctor shows up for a timely (*g*) pep talk and she uses all her awesomeness and *handwave* to blow the Matrix and escape for a nap. Meanwhile the fam arrive after their impromptu Cyber cosplay, but she sends them all home again so she can face off against the Master. Luckily Ko Shamus - the dude, not the place - is there to do all the yucky depraved death stuff and the Doctor is able to use her clean hands to escape the carnage, only to end up in a Judoon prison... not on a moon.

"I Am Not Lucy"

Sat, 18 Jul 2026 23:57:03 GMT

The gang gate to P3X-797 because they cannot think of a better name, and immediately go dark side... because the planet doesn't rotate or some such? Anywho, everyone gets touched and they go home where they touch a few more folks, and the SGC is due for some consent training. Caveman Jack wants to be a guinea pig, so Daniel and Mr Teal'c go back to the planet but Daniel goes native as he is want to do, and Teal'c becomes a vampire. Ol' Doc Fraiser sorts everyone out because any nerd that isn't Sammikins must have allergies, and they are all back to being themselves. Sam then goes shopping to find a tank top that fits... and Jack learns to keep his comments to himself. *smacks hand away*

"...Unless You're Me, Which I Am, Which Is Good."

Sun, 07 Jun 2026 03:57:06 GMT

For some reason, the Doctor takes her Fam to the END of the cyber war (how does that save everyone?) where all of her gizmos fail very quickly, and she dooms everyone... They all get split up trying to escape from the lone cyberman (surrounded by a bunch of other cybermen...), and everyone arrives on Ko Shamus, but things get squishy when that turns out to be a dude, not a planet, so they park nearby some prime ocean-side real estate instead. Turns out there is some big ol' unexplained vortex that leads to Gallifrey, that has been hiding in the opening credits for the past two years, and out pops the Master, dun dun dun...

Also the Doctor's red-headed fantasies run awry when an alt!Irish version lives out an entire lifetime as a copper, then has their memory wiped by their boss and papa, because AUTHORITY ISSUES™!

"The Foundation, It's All Solid"

Thu, 30 Apr 2026 09:30:39 GMT

Jack becomes Stealy McSteals-Things to run awry of General Hammond whom offers him reTIREDment because he's been a bad bad boy. Daniel tries to understand™, but Jack hurts his feels, fellates a bottle, and there is general angst and moping until Maybourne appears and we're just left with that ick feeling... Maybourne convinces Jack to go dark side with melodramatics and giant maltesers, and Jack heads offworld to run his operation. There, he does a pinch n' drop to draw out the mole (...just the one, huh? sure?) and leaves breadcrumbs for the Asgard to follow him back to their hideout. There, he offers his new team aliens or prison, and since they are all obvious X Files fans - secret government, cloak and dagger etc - everyone heads back to Earth where Jack gets to be Jack again and Daniel is either lying or can't talk about his feels either! UGH!

Nah nah nah nah naahhh (You're Standing On My Neck)

Sat, 25 Apr 2026 00:33:42 GMT

Friday Five whilst I consider my artistic options...

1. What decade did you attend/are you attending high school or college?
The 90's.

2. What clothing fashion from that time are you glad/do you wish went out of style?
Polyester parachute pants and plastic butterfly hair clips. Loved my baggy jean, cons, and neo tartan.

3. Do you still listen to the music from your high school/college years on a regular basis?
Oh yeah, Seattle and UK grunge and then into emo/scandi rock.

4. What hairstyle/hair colour did/do you wear during high school/college?
I had a red fro... don't ask.

5. What was/is "the cool thing to do" while in high school/college?
Rebel against the establishment but in a conformist way?
