From Russia, With Love...

For some reason or another, I've been getting quite a few of those spam emails from 'Russian bride' sites of all things. Where are my penis patches and all my OEM software at low low prices? You can't help but feel sorry for these poor girls...not only are they looking for love in far away countries (Maybe they have no viagra in Russia?) but their spelling and grammer skills leave something to be desired.

*Wow, what an emotional rollercoaster...but such is love...*

You can laugh, but I know a guy who cashed in his retirement and bought himself an overseas bride. Come to think of it, I haven't heard from him in a while.

Damn. I saw a story on tv recently where an Australian guy bought himself a bride. He flew overseas to 'collect' her but when he got there, there was no woman, and he was kidnapped and held for ransom.

That made the news over here. I had to laugh too.

Lol! Too funny. Thanks to the evil little bots which trawl the i-net looking for email addy to spam, the email addy I used on my website ended up on a spammers list :( I got fed up with the sheer amount which still ended up in my inbox everyday despite the various spamblockers & mailwashers I had in place & diverted my account to gmail. Now I get none, because gmail has the best built-in spamblocker I've found & it all winds up in the spam folder without ever touching my Inbox :) Bless their little hearts, putting in so much effort into their poorly spelled attempts & I never even get to see it...

I find yahoo pretty good with spam. It all goes to the spam folder, and the ones that do sneak through are usually advertisements for various web hosting sites I signed up to back in the day when I was first looking for a place to host my websites. I've unsubscribed to their 'newsletters' like a million times, but I keep getting them.
