Jack becomes Stealy McSteals-Things to run awry of General Hammond whom offers him reTIREDment because he's been a bad bad boy. Daniel tries to understand™, but Jack hurts his feels, fellates a bottle, and there is general angst and moping until Maybourne appears and we're just left with that ick feeling... Maybourne convinces Jack to go dark side with melodramatics and giant maltesers, and Jack heads offworld to run his operation. There, he does a pinch n' drop to draw out the mole (...just the one, huh? sure?) and leaves breadcrumbs for the Asgard to follow him back to their hideout. There, he offers his new team aliens or prison, and since they are all obvious X Files fans - secret government, cloak and dagger etc - everyone heads back to Earth where Jack gets to be Jack again and Daniel is either lying or can't talk about his feels either! UGH!

The 90's.

2. What clothing fashion from that time are you glad/do you wish went out of style?
Polyester parachute pants and plastic butterfly hair clips. Loved my baggy jean, cons, and neo tartan.

3. Do you still listen to the music from your high school/college years on a regular basis?
Oh yeah, Seattle and UK grunge and then into emo/scandi rock.

4. What hairstyle/hair colour did/do you wear during high school/college?
I had a red fro... don't ask.

5. What was/is "the cool thing to do" while in high school/college?
Rebel against the establishment but in a conformist way?

2x17 Serpent's Song

I binged the entirety of Deadloch season 2 on Prime today. The kink in my neck is none too happy, but damn that is an excellent show. Written by the 2 Kates, starring Madeline Sami, mwa! <3

In that vein, would anyone have any recommendations for communities/websites etc where I could find some lovely sapphic imagery? I've the urge to explore some more Thasmin art... possibly due to the spoilers coming from Big Finish... I am not fussed on rating, I'll make it work.

1. What was the reason you began a Dreamwidth or LiveJournal account (or both)?
I had friends on the SG1archive that were on Livejournal, and found it had a better community for the creative side of fandom than the forums. Joined LJ in 2007, mirrored DW as soon as I could get an invite, and finished up with my personal LJ when the Russians banned LGBTQI+2 content in 2017. I ran the sg1_debrief  on both sites until the post dried up. 

2. How many DW or LJ communities do you subscribe to?
49, though if anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to build on that. Drag me out of my shell!

3. Do you have a favourite community or one you check out often to see what's new?
Probably the icon communities, I love seeing everyone's amazing work. Back in the day I loved running the challenges on event_horizons  because there were/are so few spaces where fic and art are respected equally, and running sg_delights  as a safe space for mature fanart. I do try to check my reading list at least once a week, life just gets in the way!

4. How did you pick your user name?
An old tv and a teenage obsession with Latin?

5. If you could change your user name, would you?
Nah, it's been too long now. I'm just Mags...

6. If you have a LiveJournal, are you currently able to access it?
Surprisingly, I am. I have periodically popped in just to keep it active so folks there can still access my older works, etc.

7. Do you have any information about why one would be unable to access LiveJournal?
I remember Denise posted something a while back about them trying to restrict use to Russian users only and implementing a pay to play system so they could track citizen's online activity hence an influx of new DW users. How many of our governments are trying much the same, dressed up as 'think of the children' whilst supporting the orange pedo starting another war...

2x12 Tok'ra II

I've not gone down a particularly deep rabbit hole with season 3. it may be unexpected, it may be exactly what we're all imagining it to be. Who knows, variables, etc... Glad I have finally gotten to this with a mere 80 days to spare! Some of these I believe more than others, but an entire 24 spaces to fill is... formidable. *g* These may be subject to change with future data/spoilers/Sheen blabs... <3 

I've also made a blank version of this layout if it is anyone's cup of tea.

After being caught proselytising for the dark side, Daniel is captured and shares his plan to wipe out the Ori (do they have to be in 'proximity' to Merlin's device? How so when they aren't on this plane of existence? Can ascended beings travel between galaxies? Adria ascended in the Milky Way then showed up in the Ori galaxy in Ark of Truth? Morgan La Fey appeared in Pegasus and the Ori galaxy... could the weapon have wiped out the Ancients too? Oops...) proving he's not that sweet young archaeologist no more, eh? He is interrogated by his friends for his troubles, but still has that wry way of convincing Jack to go along with him even though he broke his promise in Abyss so that was a shitty argument Danny boy! *ahem* Jack and Daniel both decide they are crazy and trust no one, so they head off together to wreak havoc, spreading sarcasm and cosmic giddiness across the universe - much more powerful than Origin! The rest of the team joins in, they save the day (?) ...


10x14 The Shroud

As mentioned previously, I am going to redo a couple of the Stargate episodic icon sets, as some of the old sets were just of one or select scenes. I started the episode sets in 2006 as part of a group project on jackslashdaniel.com, and when the site folded, I continued on my own, expanding the sets to include the whole episode/team - I still have my slashy fun *g*. If there are any episodes in particular you would like a fresh set for, please hit me up!

Stargate SG-1 is coming to Aussie Netflix, February 14! <3
