Stargate...Continuing...

So I watched the trailer for Stargate: Continuum. Can I say a big ol' huzzah ladies and gentlemen, followed by a light squee. (I am reserving the squee for the actual viewing...)

The trailer was kickin' (in a totally good way) :P

Jack and Ba'al in the same room? Woo! I SO wanna see them battle in some way. :P We need closure for Abyss damnit!

Don't get me wrong, Ark of Truth was great, but this movie looks really awesome.

And is it just me, or does RDA's face seem a little...smoother?







The last one's just for Jack!love. :P

Anywho, I love his shout "What have you done with my people!" Gave me shivers. :D

And lastly - F-15's and a sub - Awesome!

And from what I hear, Continuum will be a worldwide release on July 29th (not that I am hopeful seeing as they said the same with Ark of Truth).

Me too. I've heard some people saying that his voice sounds weird there, but he's *shouting* so what do they expect? I wouldn't say he sounded 'weird' so much as absolutely furious...

Jack, Ba'al, F-15s, subs, Goa'uld ships attacking Earth, time-travel, big explosions; this is gonna be so good! I can tell ;)

I know about the voice, people are nuts. It's totally him. People's voices do change with age. Reminds me of when he did The Simpsons and no one believed it was him, because he was using his real accent, and they hadn't been listening him to constantly since he left Stargate. :P

I usually cap in VLC, but these were from Quicktime using the print screen key and trimmed.

Should have something up by the weekend. It's a piece of pre-movie spec, because I like speculating. It's half the fun! :D

In that first picture, I can't get past the fact that it's a reverse image. It just looks so weird. And I just think his face is a little more 'filled-out' these days. :)

I found the trailer very disappointing.

Ships, ships, more ships, stuff blows up, a fleeting glimpse of an actual person, more stuff blowing up, a brief glimpse of an actual person, special effects, ships, yadda.

As far as I can tell from the trailer, only Ba'al, Jack, Sam, and Mitchell are in the film, with a tiny bit of Teal'c. No Daniel, no Vala, but hey Stuff Blows Up! A lot! And if one ship is cool, then dozens must be really cool!

::sigh::

Thank heavens for spoilers because they are the only thing giving me the slightest interest in this film. If I had to judge it solely by the trailer, watching it wouldn't be a priority.

Oh, the spoilers have me interested - it's the trailer that leaves me cold. I like 'splody things as long as they're offset by lots of great dialogue, action, a good plot, and character moments. All I got from the trailer was a sense of 'splody things. It's just weird that TPTB have touted this as having the feeling of the early seasons team eps, but then they can't be bothered to put all of the team in the trailer. I haven't pre-ordered this like I did AoT, but I'm sure I'll watch it.

I would like to see a Jack/Ba'al showdown, but I don't know if I trust the writers to either 1. care about continuity or 2. do it right.

It will be great to see Jack again. I really miss him. Jack belongs at the SGC. Whatever films come after this, I really hope they work his character in somehow, even briefly. Jack has been there since the beginning and should be there through the end.
