Tippy Hedren warned us, but the birds are 'ere, spreading an alien virus that be chompin' on all the micro-plastics we have in our make up... *cue Regurgitator playing free in your mind* because some other aliens brought that shit here. The Doctor & Fam split up around the world to investigate, though the Doc is distracted by pussy, and scientists with... *ahem* Ryan picks up chicks, but Yaz steals one, before fighting some ersatz zombies and winding up under the sea! Meanwhile, Graham gets into marriage counselling, and the Doctor gosh darn creates an antidote for the whole shemozzle, before lecturing us all on not keeping the place tidy. But like, yeah...

I do want to get back to the OFMD icons, and continue Good Omens and the Slashy Stargate ones... I am deciding whether to jump to season seven, or do season six combined with guest appearances on Atlantis and Universe?

I also picked up my pre ordered Teal'c pop vinyl today, such pretty. Sam hasn't arrived yet... Here's hoping we get SG-1 Jack and Daniel also, the movie ones are fine, but there is somethin' special about our boys. <3

The Doctor and Ruby indulge in a little cosplay, but like so do the bad guys... and the bounty hunter (more like whom he working for, eh?), or whatever. The Doctor takes no time at all getting his flirt on, and they go back to Baby's ship, coz him's is bigger aye... OKAY, so after a little Billie and Kylie, Honey decides they're cool (or hot...), and after a quick detour and invitation to the stars, they hatch a little plan to be as scandalous AF, so what better than a little boogie and a betrothal? The baddies want to be them so bad, so they "Run!" "I'm normally the one that says that!"... But he's also the one that loses loves to space and time, waiting to be found...

There's a platoon of Judoon near the lagoon,... and the moon... and Gloucester. Therein, the Doc finds herself *spoilers* and she/they? head off to the lighthouse that keeps her. Meanwhile the fam get scooped by Jack for a vague warning, and some innuendo fuelled nostalgia. The Doctor regains her memory, and her Tardis with the round things... never explaining why she buried it when it would have fit inside her lighthouse, other than to show off her transporting technology? The Doctors run into their past, and past!Doc unearns her name. Since they're the same person, but not, present!Doc goes home to her family. RIP faithful Lee!

The Celestial Toymaker is back, minus the racist connotations, now he is just plain racist... He turns the world into a giant Karen, inciting a red head conspiracy (Doctor still jelly...), and invites the doctor into a game of hide and seek in the past, but there's nowhere to hide... from his past... Back in the present, the Doctor comments on the Toymaker's um, proportion, and with all the subtlety his could muster, the Toymaker shoots a big ol' pulsing, red laser beam right up into the Doctor, causing him to bi-generate (fluid AF, Doc!) and the two Doctors prove equally efficient (and beautiful) enough to kick his ass, thus the Toymaker is boxed up, to be stored with everything else the Doctor has never emotionally processed. The Doctors allow themselves to love (where's the fic, peeps?), and 14 retires to work on his shit, and be happy, while 15 readies himself to tear up at a moment's notice over the healing of his repressed trauma... also he's off to the club, woop, woop! (spoilers!) And, the Master got stole...

14x03 The Giggle

Note: This is where I will be finishing up my episodic Doctor Who icons. I will still be completing Jodie's run, and I am loving Ncuti's Doctor, but the recent arc, not so much. I may do the episode Rogue, because Doctor/Rogue was *FAB*, and I will of course be happy to do anything during his run that is requested also, if/when caps become available from other sources, since a certain mouse eared corporation is making it extremely difficult for us to spread the love...

Well, I have been a right lazy fan, and haven't complied a yearly round up for a good while now. Maybe I felt I hadn't been prolific enough to bother. Ah well, let's see what the past year looked like...

I have also been going back, and reuploading a bunch of my icons that were lost back in the day when tinypic disappeared without a trace. I have put everything back up so far back as 2012 except for a couple of MacGyver episodes since they seem to have disappeared from my hard drive, and no luck with the wayback machine. *sigh* You can see them all under the icon tag here.

Oh yeah, I also gave this journal a new layout, colours, header, background, yadda, which I *hate* because Dreamwidth code usability is still a bit not good. Oh well, I hope someone likes the shiny. On to 2024!

The Doctor and Donna crash into history, imposing upon the mavity of the situation... before heading off in the Tardis that it still a little bit explody. They end up wedged in a spaceship on the edge of the universe, and while taking a look around, the Tardis takes off to sulk. On board, the Doctor and Donna befriend a robot, and drive an anti-mavity cart, and... run into evil versions of themselves intent on taking over the universe! Dun dun dun! The Doctor's quick thinking - or lack thereof is an attempt to save the day, but the Tardis drags its ass back to rescue them... Back on Earth, the human race has turned into the comments section from any social media platform, ahhhh...

14x02 Wild Blue Yonder

The Doctor takes his new face out for a spin in Camden (the absolutely best place to go to avoid the one person who is not allowed to see said face), when he runs into... the one person who is not allowed to see said face.... and her daughter... and some eyes. Their reunion is cut short however, when the pesky Meep decides to crash land on Earth. After catching a lift with Donna's beau, the Doc sneaks around Unit... sneakily, but still manages to make friends with Shirley (why they no give her dalek tech to get up them stairs?). The Doc then catches another lift back to Donna's place, because the Meep and Rose are reenacting ET. After getting real about aliens and pronouns, they escape to the Doctor's trial by fire *pew pew*, and the Meep inexplicably keeps everyone alive... Giving the Doctor and Donna (and the DoctorDonna) a chance to save the day!

14x01 The Star Beast

In 1903, the Doc plus fam catch Nikola Tesla trying to be kidnapped by men from Mars...After jumping around some cars and carriages, Tesla gives up the goods, the goods being an exploratory ball that a Skithra queen has repurposed to find Tesla because he is a smart ass (tricky for someone who doesn't build any of their own shit, aye?) Edison makes an appearance as he is want to do, and they all work together to shoot off a bolt of electricity to scare away an alien ship that has the capacity to destroy all human life... coz that makes sense... The Doc then leaves him to his pennies and pigeons.

12x04 Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror

After mopping up from a sexy space squid session, Graham shouts everyone a sexy space speedo vacation, and transports everyone's ass to Tranquillity Spa, a pretend get away upon the Dregs of planet Earth (geddit?) Once there, Ryan immediately gets a Snackily Transmitted Disease before even hitting on the girl of the week, Yaz interrupts an overdue proposal, and Graham is one for the bottomless mimosas. The doctor finds everyone lying their asses off, not lying down... just... keeping secrets of a deathly nature..., and everyone needs to get their asses out of there. So they take a little bus ride into the countryside, but the locals are snacky, so they head back to the spa. The Doctor saves the day and smacks everyone over the head for wrecking the place. So um, recycle folks... or overthrow the capitalist military-industrial complex that is raping the planet...

12x03 Orphan 55

The Doc, now travelling through space, time; & dimension, ends up in 1834 to flirt with Ada Lovelace long before her daddy made a move... There, The Master is collecting miniatures before engaging the Doc in a little sado masochist misogyny what with the kneeling and choking, because y'all, the Doctor is a woman now *patriarchic warning bells* Ahem, meanwhile meanwhile? The Fam are on the run from the Kasaavin who have a thing for removing human DNA to make people into storage devices (that exist in a dimension they have trouble accessing, for whatever the hell info light beings need to keep on just this one little planet...) Because somehow this is also going to give a tech mogul more money/power/whatever the hell he's after? Anywho, The Doctor along with her temporary girl power fam steal The Master's Outback Steakhouse, and win the day with the help of a computer virus ~~in the mothership~~, and a laminator...

12x02 Spyfall Part 2

The Doc and Fam are taking a break from saving the universe for basketball, check ups and lying to friends and family before they are all snatched up by MI6 whose car decides to start disintegrating everyone. The Doc then delivers them all to their kidnappers where they discover C must stand for Cock... They are attacked by light aliens from another dimension and decide to play spies, go to a party and get on a plane, to figure out a mystery to which we never got any bloody answers! Also the Master is back, and South Africa looks nothing like The Great Victoria Desert, dun dun dun!

12x01 Spyfall Part 1

Back on Earth some silly humans accidentality reassemble a naughty old Dalek that wants to rule the planet, blah blah blah...Ryan's dad shows up a year late, and the Doctor is not a fan, coz she was raised by a single mum... *spoilers* Turns out this Dalek has been watching MacGyver reruns and builds its own casing with some fancy missiles and communications hacking skillz (also with a 'z'), but the Doc et al launch its ass into a supernova...

2019 New Years Special - Resolution

Following some distress signals, our fam happen upon ~~our favourite knife salesman~~ Tim Shaw, but wait, there's more! He's on a very old, dusty planet where he has found himself a couple of folks with some very old, dusty ideas, blinded by faith, when they could really use some Grace (yo, see what I did thar?) The doc makes friends and they get their asses beamed up into a sort of living ship that is housing some shrunken planets that the Doc has never seen before! *ahem* pirate planet *cough*. Yaz wants to stick close, Graham wants to blow Tim's head off, and Ryan uses the yellow beanie of reason to freeze his ass instead, so he can deal with his own shrunken globes...

11x10 The Battle for Ranskoor Av Kolos

The Doc and fam head to Norway before the sheep rebel, but after she gifts herself to Rose. There they find some scandi DIY, a blind indie rock fan, and a mirror portal to another universe. On their way to ~~drag Erik's shitty-parenting ass back~~ visit the Solitract, they encounter some terrible mood lighting, a Ribbons of bodily fluids, and some moths intent on consuming the rest of the bodies. On the other side they find Erik playing house. The universe does not appreciate Yaz's truths, Ryan is a bit not good with kids, Graham says goodbye to not!Grace, and the Doctor says goodbye to a new friend.
