Sherlock feigns addiction to drugs and women, ignoring Mycroft's suggestion of a fashion shake up - like Lady Bracknell can talk! This is all to get at one Charles Augustus Magnessen - media mogul, seasonal villain, fire-pisser. However, Sherlock gets himself engaged, and then shot by Mary, because oh no, she is secretly some dangerous assassin out for Magnessen herself - yet she lets lets him live with a good bitchslapping instead? Sherlock outs Mary to John and an awkward couple of months later, Sherlock steals Christmas and heads off to Appledore to whack Magnessen who has forgotten all about personal security it seems. Sherlock is exiled from England (how medieval!) for all of 5 minutes because Moriarty is missed!
