I'm not a huge fan of Atlantis but I will probably watch it just to see how they deal with Weir not being in charge anymore and Carter taking over. Although I agree with folks who think that her rise from captain to bird colonel in ten years is nothing short of meteoric.
True. Them replacing Weir (I know they said they weren't replacing Weir with Carter, but please. And we knew they wanted Carter as the leader of the spin off since season 5. That's never been a secret.) has actually made me not want to watch the show. I'm even waiting until it's actually shown on tv (so some time mid next year or later) because she was my favourite character. I know that sounds a bit narrow-minded, but that's just the way I feel about it.
Torri got a raw deal with this and I want to see how they sell Carter replacing Weir. We're a couple of week from the new season, I will probably watch it at first, just to see how it plays. Carson...sniff, sniff...was my favorite character. :(
I feel so bad for Torri, but I am happy for her scoring a reoccurring gig on NCIS. I can't wait to see her in that! Poor Carson. I still don't see the point in killing him off.
