Jack's Cabin...

I needed a layout of Jack's cabin for a... thing.

The only one I could find floating around was A.Karswyll's here. But, it's incomplete, so I booted up illustrator to see if I could wedge in Jack's bedroom, and a bathroom. I also have photos from discodiva76 , which show the hidden back door/verandah to the deck, as well as the outdoor buildings, which I am guessing are a garage and shed. Completely non-canon of course since we never saw the complete layout on screen. Not to scale, I am very out of practice with technical drawing.

I am 20 years too late, but maybe someone will find it useful?

This is cool! I know for sure that cabin has been used a lot in Van-filmed tv. I wonder if some of those shows show the interior. Hmm. How would we even search that? I bet there's a database somewhere of Vancouver-area locations.

Virgin River. Mel lives in the cabin but I think it's presented as very open concept (IIRC, the bed is in the living room).

And I'm kinda toying with a fic where Jack is forced, by circumstances beyond his control, to flee Earth and Daniel runs to the cabin to live a solitary life, hoping for a reunion/rescue.

Solstice just shared those pics on FB, it definitely looks like a set made to look like the interior. The placement of the fireplace there makes no sense, and the bathroom tacked on as an afterthought. It also doesn't match the rear of the cabin as the space where I have placed Jack's bedroom has the roof sloping at a different angle.

Ahhh, fic sounds amazing! I may be attempting a little prose also where the cabin features heavily/heavenly... *g*

I know there used to be a site like that, which listed all the filming locations for cult shows, no idea what it was called.

As for the cabin... there is a new series on Netflix called Untamed where the main guy lives in it and for the first time ever I got to see all the other buildings and one of them is a horse stable! That was exciting.

But Virgin River is the to-go show to see the inside. They even remodel the whole cabin in the pilot. And we get to see it briefly in that season... Idk 9 or 10 episode where Landry invites Cam to the cabin and they all end up playing poker there in the end, but it's pretty dark.
